Multi-layer Pallet Jackets
These can be manufactured to the exact dimensions of the pallet with a Velcro door-type opening which enables goods to be placed on or removed from within the pallet stack. The pallet cover is made with the three layers , all expertly stitched together. The purpose of each layer of material is different:
- Inner layer – provides a reflective barrier film. Heat is reflected inwards to either retain heat or keep it cool
- Middle layer – this is an insulation layer so that no transfer of heat can occur out of or inwards to the pallet
- Outer layer – a robust outer layer to protect goods and the pallet cover from external damage
Materials and specifications
- The flexible inner layer is made from reflective foil insulation material
- Reflectivity (0.96 – 0.97) and low emissivity (0.04 – 0.031) – able to withstand temperatures between -300C and 1000C.
- The middle layer is made from hollow conjugate polyester nonwoven wadding that is chemically bonded with an acrylic binder
The outer layer is made from UV stabilised polyethylene coated HDPE 180gsm material.
